We’re excited to introduce the Eagle Kids Splash and Dash, a brand‑new youth event added to Eagle in the Sun lineup. Designed for ages 6–13, this fast‑paced, confidence‑building race features a 100‑meter swim followed by a 1K run. It’s the perfect way for young athletes to challenge themselves, experience multisport racing, and feel the thrill of crossing the finish line under the lights. Whether they’re brand‑new to racing or already love being active, our Eagle Kids Splash and Dash is all about fun, safety, and celebrating every child’s effort. Eagle Kids Splash and Dash is participatory only. EAGLE IN THE SUN TRIATHLON El Paso's premier multisport event, Eagle in the Sun Triathlon has introduced thousands to their first triathlon. Now entering its 16th year, the race is a favorite for new and experienced athletes alike and welcomes relay teams in addition to individual competitors. Eagle in the Sun Triathlon begins with a 400-meter swim in a 50-meter pool. Participants then ride on a mostly flat 12-mile out-and-back bike on the Border Highway and run 5K run on the Playa Drain Trail. First 600 participants guaranteed to receive a moisture-wicking race shirt, athlete bag, water bottle and swim cap.
