Lace up your running/walking shoes and join us for our first annual Flight of the Heron 5k and 1 Mile Fun Run at Blue Heron Homecoming! Our 5k & 10K Run/Walk is perfect for runners of all levels! This is a family friendly event on a paved path and at the Finish Line you will receive a medal, socks and a beer from Missing Falls Brewing! This event takes place during the Blue Heron Homecoming, so after the race, come over, grab a snack and learn about all that Akron Waterways Renewed! has accomplished in keeping our river clean for generations to come! After the race there is a Beer Garden Presented by Missing Falls. At the Blue Heron Festival there is lunch provided by The Ice Bucket Food Truck. When: NEW DATE! July 18, 2026 Place: NEW LOCATION!
