The Frederick Steeplechasers Running Club Fall Marathon Training Program Goal Races: Baltimore Marathon October 17, 2026 or Marine Corps Marathon October 25, 2026 Program Length: 15-16 weeks Information Session: Thursday, June 25, 2026 at 6 - 6:30 pm at Staley Park at 11 W 10th St, Frederick, MD 21701 Group Runs: Tuesdays: 6:00 pm, Rotating between TJ Middle School, Baker Park and Ballenger Creek Trail, Frederick. **May push up to 6 AM or back to 7 PM to mitigate heat** Saturdays: 7:00 am, Various locations in or near Frederick Coaches: Johanna Schick Greta Young Victor Pellicier Program Description: The Marathon Training Program has been successful in helping runners of all levels reach their marathon race goals. Join the fun, whether you are looking for guidance in training for your first marathon or looking for training partners to train for your 10th. As 14-minute milers or a 6-minute milers, we all cross the same finish line. The Marathon Training Program represents all paces, though the more runners that sign up, the easier this is. So please help spread the word about this training group. Prerequisites Program participants must be 18 years of age or older. To help protect against injury, prior to program start, we strongly recommend you are: Consistently running 4 days a week or more, for at least 6 months Comfortable running 8-10 mile long runs Comfortable running hills and tempo runs Have the blessing of your physician if you have some sort of medical issue that may affect your participation (heart issues, orthopedic concerns, etc.) *Like the Frederick Steeplechasers Running Club Facebook page to be alerted when registration opens for the next session.
