FXBG Trail 5 Miler – Fredericksburg, VA 2026

The Motts 5 Miler is the second race of the FXBG Trail series. This trail race begins with a smooth, approachable start along Motts Run Reservoir — giving runners time to settle into their pace and find their rhythm before the course gradually reveals its character. The opening stretch is runnable and forgiving, setting you up for what’s to come. From there, the course features three main climbs that define the day. Each ascent brings its own personality — steady and sustained, short and punchy, and one final grinder that tests your grit. Altogether, runners will tackle 341 feet of total elevation gain, enough to make you work without overwhelming the legs. The descents are flowing and fun, offering opportunities to recover and carry momentum into the next section.
