At the time of his death he was working as a CPA for Canter Fitzgerald. The proceeds of this race benefit a college scholarship named after Stephen which provides money to a post-secondary education of a Gorham High School student. In the event of catastrophic weather, a public health crisis, or extreme events beyond race managements’ control every effort will be made to hold the race on an alternate date.
