Delhi, La 71232 The 14th annual Grin & Bear It 5K | 10K | 1/2 Mile Kids Run & NEW! 1/2 Marathon will take place on November 7th at Poverty Point Reservoir in Delhi, Louisiana. W e are excited to welcome our community back to the Grin & Bear It Race! Come enjoy this beautiful scenic run. Distances: 5K, 10K, 1/2 Marathon, and ½ Mile Kid’s Fun Run. All distances will have a Start Chip time and a Finish Chip time only. There are no split times on the course. Time: 6:30 AM - Race Day Registration & Packet Pickup 7:45 AM - ½ Mile Kid’s Fun Run 8:00 AM - 1/2 Marathon Start Time 8:15 AM - 10K Start Time 8:30 AM - 5K Start Time Post-Race Party: Be sure to stay after the race for refreshments, music & awards presentation! Registration Fees: ½ Mile Kids Fun Run: All kids 10 & under run free for the 1/2 mile fun run! (t-shirt not included) 5K & 10K: $25 Registration fee 1/2 Marathon: $35 Registration fee Everyone in the 5K, 10K & 1/2 Marathon will receive a t-shirt with their registration if you register by October 24th. Register Early! Shirts NOT guaranteed to late registrants (after October 24th) Extra T-shirts: Adult t-shirts are $20 and kid's t-shirts are $15. Orders must be placed by October 3rd. Packet Pickup (Location, Date & Time): Packet pick-up on Thursday, November 5th from Noon - 4:00 PM & Friday, November 6th from Noon - 4:00 PM in the Delhi Hospital Classroom & at the race site on Saturday, November 7th beginning at 6:30 am. Age Groups: 5K,10K, & 1/2 Marathon: 12 and under, 13-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65+ Awards: $100 Visa Gift Card for top runners: 5K Overall Female 5K Overall Male 10K Overall Female 10K Overall Male 1/2 Marathon Overall Female 1/2 Marathon Overall Male Medals: 1st, 2nd & 3rd place runners in each age group, Male & Female, 5K,10K, & 1/2 Marathon will receive a medal. All of the kiddos in the Kids Fun Run will also receive a medal as they cross the finish line! Proceeds from this year's race will support our newest community wellness initiatives: the future Delhi Community Wellness Trail. Currently in the funding application phase, this project will create an approximately ¼-mile walking trail within the green space adjacent to the Delhi Community Health Center, located at 501 Broadway St., in Delhi. More than just a walking path, the vision includes outdoor fitness equipment, pergolas, a serenity garden, and other wellness-focused amenities designed to encourage healthy lifestyles and provide a welcoming space for community members of all ages. Funds raised through this year's race will go directly toward helping bring this vision to life. The Delhi Community Wellness Trail will serve as an important wellness component of the future Delhi Hospital healthcare campus, creating opportunities for recreation, physical activity, relaxation, and community connection for our neighbors.
