Join us on May 2, 2026 to celebrate International Firefighters Day by participating in our Hydrants, Hoses, and Heroes 5K Run/Walk event. This 5K event is perfect for all ages and stages of fitness! The Highland Fire Department Auxiliary was founded in 2019 to help support the Highland Fire Department and the community. We provide financial support for Fire Department initiatives, food/beverages for the team during fires and emergencies, and we support those families impacted by fires. Registration for the event will begin at 7:00 a.m. at the Madison County Fairgrounds. The race will begin at 8:00 a.m. The route will be 3.1 miles that you can walk or run at your own pace. Sign up by April 11th to be guaranteed a T-shirt! *Run timing will be provided by PULSE Personal Training. Medals will be awarded to the Top Male and Top Female in each age division as well as the Top Overall Male and Female.
