The KRC Kids Half Marathon is BACK! Hosted by KRC, this event encourages young runners to log miles virtually toward a half marathon distance of 13.1 miles. Each participant may enter miles they run or walk beginning April 11, 2026, ending with the final mile around Ward Lake on Saturday July 11, 2026 at 8:00am before the Southeast Slosh Half Marathon. The KRC Kids Half Marathon is open to children 14 years and younger. Participants may complete all 13.1 miles virtually. Virtual only finishers will be recognized with a social media post (with parent/guardian permission.) Participants of the Final Mile event are not required to be part of the virtual portion and can participate without having logged any previous miles. All participants of the Final Mile will receive a finisher's prize and there will be an additional give away for those who participate in the final mile event and have logged 12 or more miles in the virtual event by July 11, 2026.
