Learn to Curl Registration Learn to Curl (LTC) Perfect for first-timers! This session focuses on the fundamentals — delivering the stone, sweeping, and understanding basic rules and strategy. Coaches guide you step-by-step, ensuring you build a solid foundation. The session wraps up with a short game so you can try out your new skills in play. Advanced Learn to Curl (ALTC) Ideal for anyone who has attended a Learn to Curl or has basic familiarity with curling. This session offers more time for game play and skill development — refining delivery, improving consistency, and exploring team strategy — with coaches still on hand to help. “Advanced” simply means less time on the very beginning basics and more time to curl! Both sessions include about two hours of ice time and one hour of game play. Either one will prepare you for league play, but attending both gives you the best mix of instruction, confidence, and hands-on experience before joining a team. Cost The cost is $30 per person for a 2 hour Learn to Curl session. See the list of dates below to sign up and reserve your spot on the ice! Waiver All participants going on the ice will need to sign a waiver. Minors will need a parent/guardian to sign a waiver for them. What should I wear? Shoes. No raised heels or flip flops. Running shoes work well as long as the soles are clean. Pants Pants that offer easy movement are important as you will be required to stretch and get into some curling positions. Jeans can leave cotton on the ice and should NOT be worn. Layers It can be cold on the ice, so we suggest dressing in layers and bringing a light jacket. Gloves and thick socks can also help.
