This event will raise support for LifeWise Academy programs within Allen County. Upwards of 2,800 public school students (up through high school!) now receive Bible Instruction at Allen East, Bath, Columbus Grove, Delphos, Elida, Perry, Shawnee and Spencerville. Pick your Team to support your local LifeWise program. All ages and families welcome! Run or walk at this family-friendly 5K event to be held on Labor Day morning at 9 am. We will begin and end near the Sunnydale House (next to Elida Elementary). The course will take you through the village of Elida with many volunteers to encourage you along the way. Lewis Family McDonald's Restaurants 1K Fun Run kids have the opportunity to receive a $25 McDonald's gift card if they raise $100 or more for any Allen County LifeWise site. (Only one gift card per child) Event: LifeWise of Allen County 5K Run/Walk Date: Labor Day (Sept 7) with gun start at 9am Start/Finish: Drive next to the Sunnydale House (4289 Sunnydale Drive / Elida, OH 45807) Course: Flat terrain through the Village of Elida Sign Up Fee: $24 Adult (17 and older) / $14 Youth (16 and younger) through July 31. $32 Adult / $19 Youth through September 6th. ON RACE DAY - $40 Adult / $24 Child. There is a discount available to families who register more than 4 participants. Please email contact@wtlw.com for help in receiving the discount. Water Stations: At mile markers 1, 2, and 2.5. Parking: The lot between the elementary and the Sunnydale House will close at 8.25am for the 1K Fun Run. It will re-open (outbound traffic) at approximately 10:15, when most 5K race participants have finished the 5K. Other lots available are: 1) West of the Elementary; 2) All of the Middle School. Medal Awards: Top 3 in men and women’s “Under 40”, “Masters” divisions, and U10, 11-14, 15-18 (top boy and top girl)! Post Race: Hotdogs, fruit, and water will be available for participants. Prize drawings at 10:15 am for those who possess a Bib Number.
