LIONS on the Leon Captain "D" Dash for “Sight” 5K Fun Run/Walk 2026 is scheduled for Saturday, October 3rd, Heritage Park in Belton, Texas - hosted by the Belton Lions Club! The run/walk will begin at 8:30am, starting at the Lions Pavilion, proceeding out and down Park Avenue, returning along Park Avenue to the trail around the baseball fields and along the Leon River; ending at Lions Pavilion. There will be four (4) water stations; and race snacks on return. This is a timed event, with timing by Pro-Fit Race Timing. Award Categories: Awards are given to the top overall male and female finishers and the top three male/female finishers in each age group. No duplicate awards. Age groups: 11&U, 12-15, 16-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70+ Costume Awards – Four (4) Awards (People’s Choice) Every registered 5K participant will receive: Swag “Pirate’s Booty” Bag, a Bib Raffle Entry, Custom Spinner Race Medal and Event Sunglasses (while supplies last
