Addiction to alcohol and drugs and homelessness are at epidemic portions. Loaves and Fishes of Beaufort (NC) is a Beaufort-based, Christ-Centered, residential, substance abuse recovery program. We provide shelter with an excellent recovery program for men at no cost to them. The men gain life skills over their six months of residency to support their healthy re-entry upon graduation. Assistance support includes Housing, Employment, Outreach and Peer Support, Suicide Prevention, and Call Center Service Coordination. We collaborate with community partners and faith communities to engage with Veterans and their families to meet critical needs called Social Drivers of Health. Through the HOPE/PATH Outreach program, VSC helps unhoused individuals attain the hope that recovery is possible with acceptance into addiction recovery programs such as Loaves and Fishes. Loaves and Fishes of Beaufort helps these individuals to gain new health while receiving training for employment in a Christ-Centered environment.
