2026 "Maranacook Lake Association and Watershed Friends on the 4th" 5K Run and/or Walk We are excited about our ongoing partnership between Maranacook Lake Association and the Watershed Friends to continue this beloved community event on its 24th anniversary!! Start the 4th of July off on the right foot and join the gang at Central Maine's most popular race! The "Friends on the 4th" 5K course is a forgiving, "feel good" race open for all runners, joggers and walkers. After a loop through downtown Main Street, most of the course follows the beautiful eastern shore of Maranacook Lake. Check in is at 7:00 am. Same day registration 7:00 - 7:45 am. The race starts at 8:00 am.
