May Day 5K/10K in Williamsport takes place on May 9, 2026, starting at 9:00 AM from WaterTower Square. The event offers a 1-mile option and a 6.2-mile distance for runners and walkers. Race day registration and sign-in is open from 7:00AM to 8:45AM Registration: Pre-reg $25. Race Day Registration $30. Race shirts guaranteed to anyone that signs up by April 26 The May Day Race is in its 28th year with all proceeds going to the American Cancer Society. Our family-friendly race welcomes beginner, recreational and experienced runners and walkers. Chip timing and long-sleeve technical shirts. All registrants will be entered to win post-race door prizes. The run/walk will start and finish at WaterTower Square, located on Commerce Park Drive in Loyalsock Township (Williamsport). The course is a flat course with a turn-around at the half-way point for the 5K and the 10K. Water stations are located at the 1.5 mile, 3 mile and 4.5 mile markers. BACK AGAIN IN 2026! We will be offering a virtual run for $25 without a shirt and $30 with a shirt. Event shirt will be mailed out after race day. All virtual runners will be placed into a random drawing.
