The downtown gym community is so excited to come together and host the first Monroe Fit Fest! The gyms included are Atlas Fitness & Wellness, MadFit Training, Compound Fitness, and Community Fitness at Monroe Mill. As well as Monroe Run Club who will be clocking your run time! This is a hybrid athletic event that operates like a 5k race with 4 "check points". Runners navigate the city, choosing their own routes between four local fitness studios to perform specialized strength circuits. This race ends with a post-race party at Grizzle Beer! The start and finish line will be at Grizzle Beer. You are responsible for keeping track of your 5k route on your phone or smart watch. You must complete 3.1 miles before crossing the finish line. The check points will be located at each gym, complete the sanctioned workout, continue to the next check point. We will have heats so be on the lookout for an email leading up to the race for your start time. First heat will begin at 9:30am. We will have two divisions for participants - "just for fun" or "need for speed" - you can choose your division at registration.
