Join us for the Newtown Savings Bank Mile Down the Pike, a one mile road race. The route proceeds down Monroe Turnpike along the Monroe Memorial Day parade route AFTER the roads close, but before the parade begins. A swift mile downhill, this event is on the same route as the Monroe Memorial Day parade. Enjoy a quick mile race starting at Firemen's Field and ending at Elm Street and Cross Hill intersection. Be cheered on as the crowds gather for the parade. Don't miss this fun event! You should be able to do a mile in 15 minutes or less to sign up for this race. THIS IS A TIMED ROAD RACE. Race will be held rain or shine. In the event the parade is cancelled, the race will be moved to an alternate location. In the event of severe weather the race will be cancelled. No refunds will be issued in the event of cancellation or change in location. Any changes based on inclement weather will be made by 10:15am on race day and communicated via email and social media to all registered participan
