Run and support our educational and residential programming for at risk and homeless youth. Celebrate Honduran heritage and international humanitarian service for education. Founded by Falls Church resident and Mary Washington Alumni, Shin Fujiyama - the One Thousand Schools organization has grown to build over 100 schools in Honduras. Hundreds of volunteers from the greater DC area have volunteered with the organization since 2007 in Honduras working on education programs.
