Kayak Boatercross : First time trials and then a single elimination, head to head kayak race down the James, heats of 4-5 competitors will battle it out through the rapids and around the buoys to advance to the next round. Top two survivors move on until only four are left to compete in the championship heat. SUP Cross : New day! In this single elimination, head to head Stand Up Paddle Board race down the James, heats of 4-5 competitors will battle it out to advance to the next round. Top two survivors move on until only four are left to compete in the championship heat. Downriver Paddle : Participants will start at Reedy Creek and race downriver through First Break, Hollywood, Fish Ladder (VEPCO Levy), Pipeline, and on to the finish at the 14th Street takeout. And be prepared to test your skills and showoff to the crowds as you will have to complete a mandatory ferry and if you are in a kayak, a mandatory roll.
