Boy Scout Troop 407 is planning the 13th Annual Pleasant Mount Firecracker 5K Race! For Troop 407, this event is an annual fundraiser to support our scouts and their participation at summer camp. This 6-day camp helps our scouts with their physical, social and mental development. Young people are our future - and scouting plays an integral role in developing our young scouts into tomorrow's community leaders. For many of our families, the cost of camp is prohibitive and so we work to support this very important experience for our scouts. Equally important, the Firecracker 5K kicks off the Fourth of July celebration in Pleasant Mount, PA. Following the race, our community comes together for a wonderful holiday parade, followed by festivities and celebration at the Pleasant Mount Community Center.
