The Portugal Day Races return to Newark’s Ironbound on Sunday, June 8, 2025, for the 45th running of this community favorite, bringing together runners, families, and spectators for a morning of celebration and competition. The event features the Jack Casimiro 5K (USATF certified), the Parente Mile, and the Cravo Kid Dash. It offers something for every age and ability, from competitive runners chasing PRs on a flat, fast course to kids taking their first dash down Ferry Street. It’s a great way to kick off Sunday’s Portugal Day festivities in the Ironbound, with a bit of competition and a celebration of Portuguese-American culture.
