Get ready for the Putnam County Classic “Race the Lake” 2026 Edition! We are happy to bring this Iconic race back to the Town of Mahopac for its 2nd Year with proceeds supporting our very own Mahopac Fire Department. Last year we raised $4000! Join us on July 4th, 2026 as we Race around Beautiful Lake Mahopac the Heart of our Town and County! The race will start at 7AM. Registration is open and there is an early bird discount through June 4. There will be race day registration. The race will begin at the town of Carmel Property at 179 E. Lake Blvd, Mahopac NY 10541. Directly across the street from the Mahopac Fire Department. Parking will be at the Firehouse and the starting line will be on Croton Falls Road between Route 6 and E. Lake Blvd. Gun time is 7:00am. Circling the beautiful shores of Lake Mahopac this 5.3 mile course starts out flat and fast for the first half for a great warm up, running west along the lake and through the town center.
