Join us for the 16th annual Race the Helix-Greenwood race, inspired by one family's desire to raise awareness for genetic disorders and funding for genetic research! All proceeds benefit the Greenwood Genetic Center Foundation. Event details: Saturday, September 19th, 2026 at 9:00 am - Greenwood Genetic Center 5K run or walk with Chip Timing (course can accommodate strollers and wheelchairs) 1-mile course for walkers, runners, strollers, and wheelchairs Pre-packaged snacks and water will be provided Online t-shirt sales will close on September 5. There will be a very limited number of t-shirts available for sale on race day. First come, first served. Check-in and onsite registration - 8:00 am - 8:45 am on race morning Awards Divisions 1st Place overall male and female 1st Place male and female in each age group category 12 and under 13-19 20 -29 30-39 40-49 50-59 60-69 70+ Packet/t-shirt pick up Preordered Race the Helix t-shirts and 5K race bibs can be picked up at the race on Saturda
