The River Road Marathon & Half Marathon takes place at Axtell Bridge in Bozeman, Montana on April 19, 2026. The event offers both a half marathon (13.2 miles) and a full marathon (26.2 miles), making it accessible to runners at different fitness levels. The race starts at 8:00 AM. From the Race Organizer
Come run the scenic gravel roads along the Gallatin River on the outskirts of Bozeman Montana. This course over looks the Gallatin Mountain range heading south towards Yellowstone National Park. There will be a half marathon, 13.2 and marathon course, 26.2 marked with pink flags. This out and back course has 295ft of gain for the half marathon and 590ft of gain for the marathon. Three aid stations along the route providing snacks and drinks to keep you fueled. Top three overall for the full and half marathon will win a pair of running shoes from Skechers! Come win bragging rights for the only Marathon in Bozeman! Sponsored by Skechers, Bell South Racing & Bozeman Brewing. This is a free race, but we recommend a donation of $20 for the Marathon and $10 for the Half Marathon. We will have official timing with Muddy Dog Sports . River Road Course
