The River Run for the Roots is an annual 5K run/walk from the Common Roots Brewery to benefit its nonprofit, the Common Roots Foundation. This looped course starts and finishes in the Park & Ride lot behind Common Roots at 58 Saratoga Ave., South Glens Falls, NY. The scenic course winds through the village of South Glens Falls, including the Betar Byway along the Hudson River. About a half mile of the course ventures onto a gravel path (the SGF Beach Bikeway) while the rest is paved. As in past years, this race is a fundraiser for the Common Roots Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that aims to sustain and improve the quality of life in northeastern New York. The Foundation supports local efforts in the areas of community wellness, environmental stewardship, and assisting those in times of need. Come join us after the race and enjoy beer and food at the brewery! START/FINISH The race start is directly behind Common Roots Brewery in the Park & Ride parking lot. Registration will occur under the tent near the finish. REGISTRATION & PACKET PICKUP Registration/racer check-in will begin at 8 a.m on race day (Saturday, Oct. 3rd) outside the Common Roots Bierhall (62 Saratoga Ave).
