On Saturday, August 29th The Roger Tory Peterson Institute will host the 2026 Bird-Day Dash 10K! The event raises money to support programming and exhibitions at RTPI. The festivities celebrate Roger Tory Peterson's 118th birthday on August 28th. Proceeds from the Dash help keep Roger's legacy alive and well through Art That Matters to the Planet. Since 1994, RTPI has been committed to fostering an appreciation for nature through exhibitions of Art That Matters to the Planet. In addition to the race, we will host a post race gathering with face painting, food trucks, lawn games, and refreshments. Check-in and day of registration will start at 8:00 AM the day of the race. The race will start at 9:00 AM. There is a "Roadrunner" 10K run division, a "March of the Penguins" 5k fun run/walk division, and a 1 Mile "Duckling Dash" kids run on the grounds of RTPI.
