The River Hills/Lake Wylie Lions Club (RHLW Lions Club) is proud to host the annual Type 1 Diabetes and Childhood Cancer on Saturday, April 25th, 2026 . The net proceeds help support The Lions Club's efforts on behalf of Type I Diabetes and Childhood Cancer Programs. The event will start and end in beautiful Camp Thunderbird adjacent to the River Hills. It will include a 5 K and 10 k Runs and a 1-Mile Family Fun Walk. The 5K and 10k runs and 1-mile family fun walk will be held in the lakeside community of River Hills in Lake Wylie, S.C. Runners will love the challenging course that offers rolling hills, tree lined roads, lake and golf course views. Families will be able to walk a course that offers stroller-friendly sidewalks to make their day enjoyable. The funds raised by "Run For Life"{ allows the Lions Club to sponsor children with Type I Diabetes to go to Camp Sweet Escape. The camp is designed to help the children understand how to live and thrive with this frightening disease. R
