Run for the Rec is a 5k race through McKnight Village neighborhood to benefit our community-owned park! Donations go toward our long-term goal of replacing the playground, as well as short-term projects like planting trees and installing a sandbox. Participate for fun (untimed walk) or get competitive (5k running division, and 5k rucking division). Strollers and families are welcome. For those competing for time, 53 medals will be awarded across a variety of age groups and categories. Stick around after the race for raffles, refreshments, live music and games for the kids! WHERE: Sunday, June 7th at 9am in the McKnight Village Rec, located at the end of Henderson Road. REGISTRATION: Registration remains open until 8:30am on race day. ARRIVAL TIME: We recommend arriving by 8:30am. PARKING: Free in the rec. Arrive between 8 - 8:30am on race day and follow parking volunteers' instructions for parking.
