Start Line Information The start and finish line will be located in front of the Lincoln Park Pavilion parking lot. This area will be closed to vehicle traffic during the event. Parking is available at the Nelson Center and nearby park lots. Please follow posted signage to the Start/Finish area. 5K runners should line up toward the front. Walkers and participants with strollers should line up toward the back. Please arrive by 7:45 AM for pre-race announcements and the National Anthem. Packet Pickup Friday, August 7 | 4:00–6:00 PM Nothing Bundt Cakes 2476 Wabash Ave. Springfield, IL Race Day Pickup Beginning at 7:00 AM at the event site. Participants must present their registration QR code to receive their race packet. Picking up for another participant is welcome, but you must also have their registration QR code. Shirt size exchanges are not available during packet pickup. Limited extras may be available after the race. Unclaimed packets will be donated. Registration Information Registration will remain open until we reach our 500-participant limit. We sold out nearly a month before race day last year, so don't wait! Every registered participant is guaranteed: 👕 An official race shirt when registered by July 23 🏅 A custom finisher medal Please note: Race shirts are guaranteed only for participants who register by July 23. Registrations after that date will receive a shirt while supplies last. Want a Shirt Without Running? Volunteers are the heart of this event! The Course The 5K course consists of three loops around the Lincoln Park main path, totaling approximately 3.3 miles. Both runners and walkers will begin by turning right onto the main park path. Overall winners will visit Springfield Running Center for a personalized fitting and may choose from select models including: Saucony Ride 19 Saucony Guide 19 ASICS Cumulus 28 ASICS GT-2000 Your shoes will be selected based on your gait, running style, and fit needs. Restrooms Public restrooms are available at: Nelson Center Lincoln Park Pavilion Shelter #4 Please plan accordingly due to the large number of participants. Parking Parking is available at the Nelson Center and surrounding Lincoln Park parking lots. Please: Follow event signage. Do not park on the race course or in the grass. Note that the Pavilion parking lot will be closed for Race Village activities.
