Walkers who choose to be timed will receive an official race bib—just be sure to register specifically for the timed walk to participate. Enjoy music at the start/finish line before and after you take on this fast, relatively flat out-and-back 5K course along the rail trail—stretching from the Y to the picturesque Adirondack chairs in Hallowell. Following the race, join us back at the YMCA for the award ceremony and silent auction , beginning once all participants have returned to the gym. Please note: winners must be present to receive their awards . 🏅 All participants will receive a finisher’s medal! Event t-shirts will be ordered on September 18th. Any registrants after that date will not receive an event tee shirt. This event is a fundraiser supporting Free ME from Lung Cancer’s mission —funding critical research, helping uninsured high-risk patients access early lung cancer detection through low-dose CT scans, and providing vital resources to those in need. Your participation also helps: • Provide radon air abatement systems for low-income homeowners • Offer transportation to medical appointments and treatments across our rural communities • Deliver ongoing patient support and care When you register, please consider making an additional donation or setting up a personal fundraising page. It’s a great way to invite your family, friends, and coworkers to support your run and make an even greater impact. We have a number of discounts we are able to provide this year which are listed below. If you qualify, please reach out to Deb at lung.support@gmail.com to receive your coupon code. Coupon codes cannot be combined. Those raising $150.00 or more will be eligible for a free registration. You MUST set up a registration page and raise the money before registering for the event. Once you have raised $150, please reach out to Deb to receive your code for free registration. ALL members of running clubs will receive a $10.00 discount towards their registration. We also have a $10.00 off coupon for those who choose not to receive an event tee shirt before the tee shirt ordering deadline of 9/18. Seniors and Veterans get $10.00 off their registration. Once again, Free ME from Lung Cancer will cover all race processing fees , ensuring that more of your contribution goes directly toward supporting our mission.
