The Sherando Youth Triathlon starts at 8:00 AM on August 2, 2026, so plan your arrival the night before in Stephens City, Virginia. Join us for a fun-filled day of swimming, biking and running in the 13th year of the Sherando Youth Triathlon! This triathlon will challenge your child in their age group with a swim, bike ride in Sherando Park, and a run utilizing a portion of the Sherando High School Track. Check out our FREE Sherando Youth Triathlon Workshop if you are new to this sport! Bike need a check up? Visit Element Sports or Blue Ridge Bicycles this summer to make sure your bike is in tip top race shape! Age and Distance: 7-8 (25-meter swim, 1-mile bike, .5-mile run) 9-10 (75-meter swim, 3-mile bike, 1-mile run) 11-12 (125-meter swim, 3-mile bike, 1-mile run) 13-15 (125-meter swim, 3-mile bike, 1-mile run) ​ Awards : Top three male and female in each age group. All participants will receive a finisher medal. T-shirts are not guaranteed to participants who register after July 5th. Once the deadline passes, T-shirts will be first come, first serve while quantities/sizes last.
