Join us in our efforts to beat cancer! Held in conjunction with Renville Sugar Beet Days, this event incorporates a morning centered on hope, health, and stewardship. Southern Minnesota Beet Sugar Cooperative is the sole sponsor, underwriting the cost of the run/walk to ensure that 100% of registrations fees are donated to support the fight against cancer. Since inception in 2010, the event has raised and donated $86,557! All registration proceeds benefit Renville County Walk in the Park. Running to a Sweet Beet 5K welcomes participants of all ages and abilities and will take place rain or shine. The 5K course is chip-timed, offering a fun and meaningful experience for both competitive runners and casual walkers alike. Schedule of Events 6:45 a.m. - 7:45 a.m. Registration 7:45 a.m. Opening Ceremony 8:00 a.m. Race Start Immediately following the race - Closing Ceremony and Prizes Registration & Pricing Participants who register on or before June 1 are guaranteed a commemorative t-shirt and early bird pricing. After June 1, registration fees increase as follows: Age 4 and Under: Free | Age 5-10: $20 | Age 11-18: $25 | Age 19+: $35 Please note: No team pricing option will be offered in 2026 . Race shirts are not guaranteed for registrations received after June 1. Registration Deadlines Online registration closes at midnight on June 2. After that time, race-day registration will be available beginning at 6:45 a.m. at the Renville Community Center. Payment on race day is cash or check only.
