This one-of-a-kind 7.6-mile race begins at the scenic 76 Falls at 8:00 AM CST and takes runners on a memorable journey through the rolling beauty of Clinton County before finishing in the heart of downtown Albany during the annual Spirit of 76 Celebration festivities. Whether you are chasing a personal best, running with friends and family, or simply looking for a fun way to kick off your Fourth of July celebration, this event offers the perfect mix of challenge, scenery, patriotism, and hometown hospitality. Participants can expect: A beautiful point-to-point 7.6-mile course Patriotic race-day atmosphere Community support along the route A festive downtown finish Fourth of July celebration energy throughout Albany Great memories and small-town Kentucky charm The Spirit of 76 7.6 Miler is more than just a race — it is a celebration of community pride, American spirit, and the traditions that make Independence Day special. Shuttles will be available back to your car after the race. Parking will be available at 76 Falls, and at Junction Station on Hwy 90. There will be shuttles going to and from the start from Junction Station starting at 7AM. THE LOWEST AGE ABLE TO PARTICIPATE IS 15. Prize money will be available for our first, second, and third overall in the male and female divisions. $300 for first, $200 for second, and $100 for third! Age groups awards will be awarded to the top three in the following male AND female divisions: 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60 and up!
