Be a part of a small group of urban swimmers experiencing the Statue of Liberty in a whole new way as we do a full one mile loop of Liberty Island. You will have your own kayak escort as you tackle this challenging route – and bragging rights for life upon completion of this epic adventure. Experience Requirement: The Statue of Liberty Swim is a challenging open water event, involving swimming against the current in typically choppy conditions. All participants must provide proof of recent, comparable open water swim experience (the PRIDE Swim Manhattan is an acceptable qualifier), and must swim at a pace of 30 minutes per mile or faster.
