The Shenandoah Valley Runners (SVR) is excited to open registration for our Spring 5K and 10K Training Program training program in Front Royal, targeting the Front Royal Kiwanis 5K on May 16, 2026. This will be a 10-week program beginning on Saturday, February 28, 2026. Weekly track workouts and group runs will occur in Front Royal. You are welcome to participate in the program even if you are preparing for a different spring race. The training program runs rain or shine with few exceptions. The program is open to any healthy adult at virtually any level of athletic ability. There is no speed requirement and all paces are welcome. We welcome newcomers to the running community, however if you have not run before, we recommend consulting with your physician prior to beginning this training program.
