Sybil Ludington 50K Race and Relay – Carmel, NY 2026

The Sybil Ludington 50K running race is back to celebrate 250 YEARS OF REVOLUTIONARY PEOPLE & PLACES brought to you by Putnam County and the Taconic Road Runners. This will be the 42nd running, held annually through 2019. This is a special year for the country and next year is a special for Sybil-the 250th anniversary of her ride. Sadly, race organizer for many years and co-director wtih Tony Galfano, David Farquhar passed away on December 23rd, 2025. He was looking forward to the return of the race. You can read his obituary here . You can see the course HERE . It will be a Sunday and will start at 7AM. We are going back to the original course, which covers 31 of Sybil's 40 miles. We will have a slightly different start. There will be a relay for 2 runners. The fun part is you can choose how often to swap, from quarter miles, to 15K straight per person.
