The Captain’s 5K celebrates our commitment to community service, health and wellness awareness. The Thomas “TJ” Jefferson Foundation, Inc. (TJF), is a twenty-year-old non-profit organization comprised of members of the Theta Lambda Lambda Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. It is scenic, very fast, and a PEACHTREE ROAD RACE QUALIFIER ! The course travels along some newly paved perimeter roads before entering the park again and winding through the paved walking/running path before finishing on a slightly-downhill path. 1 Mile Race Route: The 1 Mile Course is completely within McCurry Park and goes out-and-back along the paved walking/running path before finishing on a slightly-downhill path. Race Start-Finish & Race Day Parking: Both the Start and Finish Line(s) are located in parking lot of McCurry Park located at 180 McDonough Rd., Fayetteville, GA 30214. There is plenty of parking available in the main lot, less than 100m. from BOTH the start and finish.
