The Great Jones County 5K Fair Race – “Race Around the Fair” Get ready to run, explore, and celebrate! The Great Jones County 5K Fair Race, held in collaboration with Monticello Parks and Recreation, offers a one-of-a-kind route that winds around the fairgrounds, past the livestock barns, and along the track, giving runners an early morning's taste of fair excitement. The course continues past the scenic Monticello Golf Course and through Riverside Gardens, showcasing some of the area's most beautiful outdoor spaces. We intend to have a chalked line throughout the course to provide a continuous course with more signs. Whether you're aiming for a PR or just enjoying the fun, this race is a perfect addition to fair week festivities. Come run with us and experience the fair like never before!
