Fast, level 5K run & walk course, through residential East Petersburg. Begins and ends at East Petersburg Fire Hall located on Pine St. one block east of Manheim Pike (Main St. Rt 72) and one block north of State St. (Rt 722). Medals for top finishers in each age group. 5K Run medals to top three in each gender age group. Prize money for top three overall winners in male/female groups is $200/100/50. Walk up registrations accepted Friday 5-8p and starting at 7a at the Community Building on Pine Street. NEW THIS YEAR! The East Pete Community Day 5K is supporting the Joy Among Mourning (JAM) Foundation , a local nonprofit dedicated to bringing hope, healing, and joy to those experiencing loss. JAM was established in memory of Andrew Wagner , a Hempfield High School graduate whose life was tragically cut short in an automobile accident on July 18, 2010.
