The race is held on Juneteenth to commemorate the holiday and bring awareness to the overall health benefits of physical activity and mental wellness, specifically in underserved communities. The Metropolitan 5k exemplify community and open to all fitness levels. Grab a friend or your family and come RUN YOUR RACE! The Metropolitan 5k is a Peachtree Road Race qualifier! All proceeds from The Metropolitan 5k go towards programming and executing some of our most impactful programs such as the Back 2 School Drive and Holiday Giveback with Atlanta Public School students.
