Welcome to The Workout Group! Our goal for this community is to create a positive and safe environment for you to run your best. Led by a team of RRCA-certified running coaches, The Workout Group meets on Tuesday and Thursday mornings and evenings from August through May. Our Tuesday workouts include a variety of higher intensity intervals for building leg speed, while Thursday's workouts include stamina building sessions. Tuesday & Thursday Evening Workouts: St. Phillip's Plaza, 6 PM Tuesday & Thursday Morning Workouts: Rillito Sports Fields, 5:30 AM We ask that you arrive at least 10-15 minutes early to get in some kind of warm-up activity before the workout. Recommended gear: Water bottle: A hand-held to carry during the hotter runs, or bottle to stash in the car for before and after run hydration. Watch: Some workouts are time based and some are paced based. Either way, it's nice to keep track on a running watch. Head lamp: Starting in September the days get shorter and shorter. Ha
