April is National Sexual Assault Awareness Month and National Child Abuse Prevention Month — every step counts in the fight to prevent child sexual abuse and help survivors heal. And before the walk kicks off, join us for an Easter Egg Hunt with Buddy the Safety Dog and the Florida Panthers mascots! EASTER EGG HUNT + WALK IN MY SHOES FORT LAUDERDALE Date: Saturday, April 4th, 2026 Start location: FTL War Memorial - 800 NE 8th St Fort Lauderdale, FL 33304 Registration Begins: 8:30 AM Easter Egg Hunt: 8:55 AM Walk Start: 9:30 AM Details: Join us for a 5-mile walk to the Nancy J. Cotterman Center (2995 Dixie Hwy Oakland Park, FL 33334) — with the opportunity to stop or continue walking our full 12-mile route to Galuppi’s (1103 N Federal Hwy, Pompano Beach, FL 33062). An UBER code will be provided to walkers to cover the cost of a ride back from the walk
