Youth Splash and Dash – Sunnyvale, CA 2026

The Youth Splash and Dash is our first swim & run for kids ages 6-14. Come celebrate our first event with a full size finish line with snacks and finisher certificates and hang out with their friends. This would be an introductory event that would prepare the kids for their first triathlon/aquathlon. The main goal is to wake up the outdoor spirit in our little athletes and walk them through the transition in this type of sport that is lately gaining in popularity. Distances are short and intended simply to expose our youngest athletes to the basic elements of two legs of triathlon. The swim will take place in the Washington pool, which has 25 yard lanes. Ages 6-10 will do 4 lengths, and ages 11-14 will do 8 lengths. Volunteers will help count laps. The transition from swim to run will take the youth to the picnic area before doing a loop around a nearby section of campus. The run course will be supported by cheering, excited volunteers. 11-14 year old will do two loops. Note: triathlet
