The World Telecommunication and Information Society Day (WTISD) helps raise awareness on how the Internet and other information and communication technologies (ICT) benefit our societies and economies and help bridge the digital divide. WTISD was born from the combination of the former World Telecommunication and World Information Society days and is held annually on May 17th.
