The Ocean State Crossing draws top Challengers from across the nation to set out on a 15 mile paddle & row navigation challenge across iconic Rhode Island Sites - Fort Adams, Newport Harbor :: Point Judith Lighthouse. This event hosts paddlers & rowers of multiple disciplines, fundraising & celebrating Summer Safe Ocean State culture! The Ocean State Crossing end points are Fort Adams Beach In Newport Harbor & Roger Wheeler State Beach in Point Judith. The Crossing direction will be based on weather conditions with the preferred route being Point Judith to Newport. The Ocean State Crossing is an event to celebrate Ocean Culture & support the mission of Summer Safe Ocean State L3C Organization (organization which prioritizes mission over profits & at all times further accomplishments of charitable or educational purposes).
